the collisium

i ended up falling asleep after 2 crap crossants at around 10am-2pm. got woken up by the folks and hit the streets. we forgot that map which made the walk brisker as we searched for the collisium and all the dead homies that fought in it. the ruins were amazing and hella old. i can't really describe it other then being...hella old and beautiful. where's the thesaurus when you need it?. the collisium was way different then i imagined. the majority of it was decayed having been built in half way thru AD, and the seats were vanished. we took pictures and i looked at women while fantasizing about hollering. guess the blonde haired crackers get no love out here. can't pull the myspace card in rome. but i plan on learning some phrases and letting the "i'm a white rapper" card get me some euro's. snaped some pics with the folks, looked at the graf and headed to the butcher shop with mom dukes. veil, whole sickly chickens, albino meet patties. this place was great. the butcher made love to that dead carcus with his knife and it made me want to be a butcher. you know how many females you could pull at a butcher shop? it's on!. my mom butchered her way into ordering 3 chickens, he chopped them bitches up and we were back to the homestead for a home cooked meal. thank god. bread and butter baby!. i didn't eat enough, and that's probably why i woke up at 4am after going to bed at 12. i've been on the internet and eating salami and crackers for the last 3 hours surfing. the fam should be up in a couple hours and we're off to florence.

i don't sleep here

i stayed up all night last night. well, went to bed at 3:30, got woken up at 4 and from then the day started over again. the night consisted of a horrible meal and service (who said italian food was good? it was a peice of fat with some lamb inside. no butter/olive oil for the bread and they charged 15 euro for it. afungulai!), a bottle of vodka shared between my brother tim, his friend kolina and myself. we sipped slow, as i got them hip to the best rapper alive and they got me hip to the latest john legend joint. i have the problem that if i hear an album is crap from an artist i love i won't listen to it. it had some cuts though. gotta stop doing that. the vodka got killed, tim went to talk to his girl, the massage started happening (i know, step my game up right?) a bra strap fell, she leaned in and...i pulled away realizing i was gay. actually, i felt that conscious come into my head like "this is you brothers best friend and she's hella cool. talk to him about it first. of course today he tells me he didn't give a fuck. but it all happens for a reason. one of the cooler females i've met in a while, but almost on that "we should be homies" tip.

Traveling is a bitch

Last minute traveling is an art and is one that I havn't mastered. I left Seattle without my new camera charger, without depositing money in the bank and with no instrumentals for my voyage. Not a good look. The plane departed around 9pm and I didn't end up getting to sleep until 3 or 4am. We had a 5 hour layover at heathrow airport in which I understood how weak the american dollar is. $18 for a hamburger? Yea right. We arrived in Rome (no idea what time) and I got to see my brother for the first time since august. He's been studying abroad in Florence. I started feeling a little sick before I went to bed. Next thing I know I'm sweating profusily in my sheets, got up, ran to the bathroom and spent the whole night/better half of the next day throwing up about every 20 minutes. Chris Brown's "kiss kiss" was stuck in my head for about 6 hours and I wanted to die. I was basically peeing out of my ass (excuse me) very frequently and my ass was on fire. Very unpleasent experience. Don't take your health for granted.

chop suey show

Well, here it is. The first blog hopefully of many, documenting my journey through Europe. But first things first, let's go back to the night before I left at Chop Suey. It was the first show that I have ever put on, and for the most part the evening couldn't have gone better. Minus a quick evacuation do to a gas leak during sound check and hella maze showing up 5 minutes after his set was suppost to start the night got off to a hyphy intro. The crowd didn't exactly know what to do with hella's set looking confused and bewildered to why this guy would be put on the bill. I found it very entertaining and thought he was a nice opener. Next came the knowmads who always put on a really solid performance. I started drinking in the bar and watching there rosevelt fan base go crazy over there songs. The elders in the community gave em the co-sign and I look forward to seeing where they'll go. From here on out I was backstage putting my set together but from the sound of it Raj and language artz killed it. I got the pleasure of seeing canary sing do a couple tracks and they blew the crowd away. Gabe and khingz murdered the set as always and I took the stage after them. When I first started rapping I could tell I had a drink too many and was a little sloppy. Coming off a cold I didn't really get into my rhythm until about half way through the set. The crowd was incredible. At 400+ people I was more then pleased with the turn out and the energy from the audience. It always makes my job so much more enjoyable even if I'm not 100 percent on point. There was so many familiar faces in the crowd it was an the perfect way to send me off on my trip. We raised more money then I expected for DV-1 and got raj some scrill as well. It was a classic night in my opinion and definitley not the last show i'll be putting on.
